58 Day 1. Arrive Lima (Peru). On arrival, be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for a Welcome Reception. Stay (Two Nights): Lima, Hotel Jose Antonio Bellavista. Day 2. Lima. Today take a tour of the World-Heritage-listed historic centre of Lima. Like a Local – delight in a Pisco Sour and learn how it is made. B Day 3. Lima, Cusco, Sacred Valley. Fly to Cusco and travel to the Sacred Valley. From here, visit the incredible ancient ruins and markets of Pisac. Special Stay – Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba. Stay (Two Nights): Sacred Valley, Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba. B Day 4. Sacred Valley. Today, visit the fascinating Terraces of Moray. A Taste of the Sacred Valley – visit a local family for a home-cooked meal. Later, take in the salt mines of Maras. BL Day 5. Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu. Like a Local – today you'll board the Vistadome train and soak up the magnificent Andean landscapes as you enjoy a rail journey to World Heritage-listed Machu Picchu, located some 2,400 metres above sea level. Here, enjoy a guided tour. Afterwards, settle in to your lovely hotel before dinner this evening. Stay: Aguas Calientes, El MaPi Hotel. BD Day 6. Machu Picchu, Cusco. With the morning free, perhaps revisit Machu Picchu at leisure. Then re-board the Vistadome train for your journey to Ollantaytambo station, before a coach returns you to Cusco. Like a Local – during a weaving demonstration, see how the colourful materials of South America are created by local people. Tonight, enjoy a Peruvian dinner and a traditional folklore show at the Tunupa Restaurant Bar & Grill. Stay (Three Nights): Cusco, Hilton Garden Inn. BD Day 7. Cusco. This morning, head to Sacsayhuaman Fortress, set in a sacred area that contains 33 unique archaeological sites. Overlooking Cusco, this huge fort was constructed using six-metre-high boulders cut to fit together tightly without mortar. After, take a tour of Cusco, visiting the ruins of Tambomachay, Quenqo and Puka Pukara. This evening, enjoy dinner at your leisure. B Day 8. Cusco. Today, enjoy time at leisure to relax or further explore the vibrant city of Cusco.
