THE ECUADORIAN ANDES
Running the length of Ecuador from the western
coastal lowlands to the eastern jungles, the
mountains and valleys of the Ecuadorian Andes

altitude of over 4.5 kilometres, volcanic
activities take place as frequently as every
15 minutes at the 'Avenue of the Volcanoes'.
On this rail adventure, you'll glide alongside
fast-flowing rivers, over deep ravines, around
mountains and through cloud forests, as you
travel into the striking Andean highlands.
TAKE A TRIP THROUGH HISTORY
Constructed in 1908, and restored between
2008 and 2013, this amazing example of railroad
engineering is considered to be a symbol of
unity for the country of Ecuador. Linking the
coastal city of Guayaquil to the capital Quito,
this unique, fully restored four-coach steam and
diesel locomotive features a refined historical
design. On board, a yesteryear style flows
through each carriage to the handicraft shop,
panoramic lounge room, old-style coffee bar
and even the open-air terrace.
INCREDIBLE EXCURSIONS
While the passing landscapes are certain to
impress, it's the daily excursions that allow you
to immerse yourself in the culture and history of
Ecuador. Enjoy breathtaking scenery, the whisper
