INCREDIBLE IGUASSU FALLS
No visit to South America is complete without
experiencing the natural power, beauty, and size
of Iguassu Falls. Situated on the border of Brazil
and Argentina, this magnificent network of 275
falls is a prime example of nature at its best.
Skirting the falls, marvel at the surrounding
subtropical rainforest that houses over 2,000
uniquely specialised species of flora and fauna,
all of which have evolved in response to these
extreme conditions.
MAGICAL MACHU PICCHU
Arguably the most iconic reminder of South
America's incredible history is the Lost City of
the Incas, Machu Picchu. Never revealed to the
conquering Spaniards, it was not until 1911 that
the archaeological complex was made known
to the outside world. Located in the tropical
mountain forest of the Peruvian Andes, a locally
guided tour of this mystical, World Heritage-
listed site is one of the most captivating travel
experiences imaginable.
THE ISLANDS OF LAKE TITICACA
Thought to be the highest navigable lake in the
world, and the birthplace of the sun, stars and
first people, Lake Titicaca is a truly incredible
body of water. Bordered by Peru and Bolivia,
Lake Titicaca is further hugged by crumbling
cathedrals, abandoned plateaus and the world's
longest mountain range – the Andes. A sacred
place for the Inca Civilisation, this lake is also a
long time home for the Uros people, who build
moveable floating islands with bundled reeds.
