Apple iWatch
A leak has been released announcing the introduction of the
Apple iWatch later this year. This snazzy gadget is expected
to have a flexible glass display that snaps automatically to the
owner's wrist size. The battery life is supposed to last between
4-5 days, and is expected to have functions such as video
chat and Siri input (the famous talking robot built-in to the latest i-Phones) as well as a pedometer and fitness tracker. Other
brands are also planning on launching watch gadgets such as
Pebble, I'm Watch and Google Glass. Looks like wearable tech
could be the next trend out this year!

The ModularFlex
The ModularFlex is a compatible and
portable housing unit. It packs flat and
can be assembled into a housing unit in
about half an hour. The unit is made from
thermal panels with hinges up the walls,
and has optional doors and windows. It
can also be connected together to make
larger structures and
has electrical wiring
and LED lights. It is
designed to be used in
the case of a disaster
as it is easily folded
away and stored, but
could also be used for
miners to live in. We
also thought that for
camping, we could
indulge in one of these
instead of a tent!

Swallow without chewing
A new way to monitor and improve
health has been developed in the form
of a tiny computer. The computer needs
to be swallowed and it then has the
capacity to release drugs and medicine
inside the body or simply to monitor
health. It is roughly 2 millimetres on each
side and includes a processor, control
unit, clock and a digital convertor to
help with translating data. Advice from
the techsperts: remember to swallow
without chewing.

Embrace+ Bracelet
This little beauty pairs up with a smartphone and lights up for
different notifications. If the phone is tucked away in a bag or out
of sight somewhere the bracelet will light up, with different colours
for different types of notifications, and the user can tell whether
its something they need to see to immediately or not. All kinds of
events are able to send notifications to the bracelet such as calls
from specific contacts, text messages, email, Facebook, Twitter,
Instagram, Calendar, Alarm and timer and many more. The user
is able to customise the corresponding colours for each notification as well as things like duration of blinks, brightness and speed
interval. The creators of the device are working on linking even
more applications to the device. It comes in three different shade
options so users can choose which one matches their style.
