MARIE-THERESE BORLAND Marie-Therese Borland has worked at Waikato Breast Care Services for most of her professional career. Experience in the health sector and also working as a qualified fitness instructor and personal trainer has reinforced her philosophy that investing in our health through regular exercise and good nutrition gives a good return on investment. Her passion is to help people engage with exercise in some form of physical activity that they enjoy. "Working with the Waikato Treasure Chests last year was a great opportunity to help the team increase their fitness and was congruent with my special interest in working with breast cancer survivors to develop a life- long exercise habit." While her hobbies are activity focused with a love of the great outdoors, she also loves a good read, sewing something creative and preparing great food for friends.
