our contributors A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR CONTRIBUTORS FOR THIS ISSUE OF PINK MAGAZINE Breast Cancer Research and Treastment Update 90 JAMEE BARUGH Jamee Barugh has been working as a clinical dietician for five years, having trained at Otago University. She started her career at Waikato Hospital, and since moving to Australia she is currently working at St Vincent's Hospital in Melbourne. Jamee has worked predominately in Haematology and Oncology over the past four years, and is currently working in Upper Gastrointestinal surgery. Jamee also has a strong interest in sports nutrition, especially after completing her Sports Dieticians Australia course at the Australian Institute of Sport. Jamee is enjoying the Melbourne lifestyle and the opportunities that Australia has to offer. She loves sport and enjoys almost anything outdoors and one day hopes to return to New Zealand once her overseas adventures are complete. To add or not to add 78 Melancholy with No Melons 88 JENNI SCARLET Jenni is a breast cancer research nurse at Waikato Hospital. She has a special interest in research and clinical trials investigating breast cancer prevention, treatment of early breast cancer, quality of life, improving communication and informed consent. Jenni is secretary/co-ordinator of the Waikato Breast Cancer Trust and is a member of the ANZ Breast Cancer Trials Group. She has six brothers and sisters and enjoys socialising with extended family and friends. KATE PERRY Kate Perry is a registered psychologist with over 10 years experience working within the healthcare sector in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. She is currently based in Auckland and works across a range of chronic disease areas, including breast cancer. Kate is particularly interested in helping patients develop strategies to manage pain, fatigue and stress. In her spare time, Kate enjoys spending time with friends and playing guitar (albeit badly!).
