Charlotte Penman
Chocolate Heels
Texas chocolatier, Andrea Pedrazza has saved
men alot of trouble by combining two of
women's favourite sins in life... the high-heel
shoe and chocolate! Heck, it beats buying
them an expensive high-heel shoe and an
exotic chocolate! Andre Pedrazza would
pour chocolate into a plastic high-heel mould
and decorate them with gourmet ingredients
that would pamper most sweet-tooths. Their
signature chocolate shoe is the "Christian
Louboutin Chocolate Shoe". In real life it would
cost you $1,500 for one but in Andre's case, it
only costs $35.
Wild Flower, I love you every hour - Charlotte
Penman's latest collection Wild Flower is
inspired by a childlike wonder of nature, the
iconic poppy in all its forms and wild starry
filled nights. The collection comprises of 3d
Poppy Pods, detailed hand carved Poppy
flowers, some with gemstone centers, from
tourmaline, black zircon and amethyst.
Exploring anatomical drawings, as well as
the poppy in its natural state Charlotte has
combined the softness and fragility of the
flower with a geometric edge. This can be seen
in the textured, ridged petals of the flowers
cotrasted with the square shapes of the ring
bands and in the Wild Disk, which reveals the
centre of a poppy pod. The Mariposa charm
captures a stylized butterfly, with swinging
gemstone tassels.
Michael Hill Jeweller
One of New Zealand´s most prominent jewellery
manufactures has opened a flagship luxury store on
Auckland's Queen Street. The jeweller, known for creating
exquisite jewellery and watches for both men and women,
engagement rings, dress rings, necklaces, and bracelets has
saved this space for their most indulgent pieces including a
pair of diamond studs valued at whopping 1.8 million.
$500,000 Cinderella Shoe
If you have wanted to be Cinderella, Kiwi
shoe designer Kathryn Wilson can make
it happen.The Auckland footwear queen
teamed up with Sarah Hutchings of Orsini
Fine Jewellery to create the most expensive
shoe ever made in New Zealand. Hutchings
painstakingly placed more than half a million
dollars' worth of white diamonds on to a
single classic court-heeled shoe to create
a one-off work of art. The process involved
hours of surgeon-like precision using tweezers and a special adhesive. Wilson says the
dazzling piece may not be suitable to wear,
"but sometimes that's what fairytales are all
about".
"Creating a dream shoe
appeals to the princess
inside me."
