Shanghai's chocolate wonderland
Created in 2010 Shanghair's museum/ theme park houses huge
creations of chocolate. Chocolate sculptures of all sorts are on
display here, from a life-size BMW car to replica terracotta soldiers
and a Gucci designer handbag. One of its greatest attractions is the
world's biggest chocolate sculpture of the Great Wall of China. Once
every year an exhibition fashion parade is held to showcase designer
garments made of chocolate! Designers add special ingredients to
the chocolate to make it more malleable. At the same time a special
exhibition of newly created sculptures is held revolving around a
theme. Due to the change in seasons affecting the chocolate; the
wonderland closes in April each year and opens again in January the
following year with all new sculptures.

NZ Chocolate Festival Experience
Pure chocolate indulgence…A place where chocoholics can indulge
without guilt…absolute heaven for chocolate lovers. Passionate
chocolate makers and chocolatiers assemble with their products on
display which can be bought, tried or admired from afar at the NZ
Chocolate Festival Experience. Last year's one had 35 exhibitors
including Donovan's Chocolate, Swiss Bliss, Simply Paris and Bull
Rush Chocolate. Demonstrations are also held in the culinary theatre
where the audience can learn tricks of the trade and be amazed by the
creators. Everything that's there has incorporated chocolate into it in
some way, whether its baked goods and ice cream to beauty products
and jewellery. Held for a couple of days in Wellington, this year's event
programme hasn't been confirmed yet but is usually in August. Tickets
are limited due to the temperature controlled rooms.
