The key to indulging successfully is to plan for it and having such flexibility in your diet may actually teach you how to self-monitor as well! Tips to plan successfully: -You can either reserve planned calories into calorie allotment or plan to exercise more to burn them off. -If you choose to reserve plan calories then plan for a small portion, half the size of what you might usually have is what is recommended so that over time your cravings decrease. -Look for healthier options to indulge in where possible, for example, dark chocolate over milk chocolate and baked chips over fried. Marketing experts are calling it the "healthy indulgence". Consumers want foods that are both delicious and healthy.
