It's in the bag
Ever wondered what it would be like to have a top chef
manage your menus night after night? Now three female
powerhouses have developed a food service that does just
that.
MasterChef 2011 winner, Nadia Lim, has joined forces with
2012 Businesswoman of the Year, Cecilia Robinson, and
prominent New Zealand business leader, Theresa Gattung,
to cook up a new home delivery service that will revolutionise the way we cook and eat at home.
My Food Bag is a weekly service delivering meal kits comprising quality, free range ingredients, together with nutritious seasonal recipes. All recipes are designed by Nadia
Lim who is developing a strong reputation for being at the
forefront of healthy eating in New Zealand.
Each bag contains ingredients for dinners that are simple to
prepare, big on flavour, healthy and delicious.

The boom of low-cost gyms
The goal of launching a low-cost gym such as Anytime Fitness, Snap and Jetts is to create an environment where no
one is shy about turning up. These are all no-fuss 24 hour
gyms with no receptionists, cafes, saunas, hairdryers or
crèches, just rooms full of exercise equipment instead. These
types of gyms are proving to be very popular with thousands
of people joining up to them in the past two and a half years
and over 50 new facilities being built in that time.

BOKWA
Everyone can do BOKWA. This fun yet intense workout has
been designed so that people of all ages, sizes and cultures
can do it and love it. "Sweat the alphabet and dance the digits"
is the tagline from their website and they mean it. Participants
draw numbers and letters with their feet while performing an
intense cardio workout. BOKWA is different to other workouts
because counting steps is not required, instead instructors encourage participants to simply feel the music and move freely
to the beat. Popular songs are chosen for the workout that are
energising and addictive and appeal to a global audience.
Paul Mavi, international fitness personality, developed BOKWA
through drumming into his native South African roots as a
dancer and musician. "BO" represents light boxing and "KWA"
represents the cultural and traditional dance, Kwaito. It has
been described as a mixture of capoeira, kickboxing, step, and
South African war dance.
It has been proven that people doing BOKWA can burn up to
1200 calories in one workout.
The trademarked name has spread worldwide with certified instructors in many countries including New Zealand.
