Fisker Karma
"If you're not getting a little sweaty
just looking at the picture, check to
see if you still have a pulse."
Designed by the same bloke who sketched
the delicious Aston Martin V8 Vantage and
the jaw-dropping BMW Z8 Roadster, the
curvy Fisker Karma is Dita Von Teese on
wheels. If you're not getting a little sweaty
just looking at the picture, check to see if
you still have a pulse.
This thing is a range-extended hybrid,
meaning its internal combustion engine
drives a generator, which keeps the batteries
topped up. It is good for about 480 kilometres,
offers 240kW and 479Nm of zap and will
sprint to 100km/h in just 5.9 seconds.
Lexus CT200h F Sport
While the Lexus CT200h F Sport sounds
like something that should get you feeling all
tingly in the nether regions, it won't. Rather,
it will just help those who reckon they're
'too cool for a Prius' to feel like they're driving
something a little more testosterone-soaked.
Only, they're not.
You see, the CT200h F Sport is really
just a cosmetic enhancement of the regular
CT200h (you get bigger wheels, a leatherswathed interior and bodykit), and if you peel
away the sculpted layers of the Lexus you'll
find a Prius lurking beneath.
So, you get just over 100kW and around
142Nm. Like the Panamera, you'll travel for
only about two kilometres on spark alone.
