070: pinkbeauty MUSIC OCTOBER PROMISES TO BE AN ENTERTAINING MONTH The Script #3 The Script can do no wrong with two number one albums to their name and a singer (Danny O'Donoghue) as a mentor on The Voice. The Dublin trio's appeal, though, remains a mystery, thanks to their third pasteurised amalgam of windswept Celtic soul and graceless R&B. The best track, current single Hall of Fame, owes much to the frontman's TV colleague will.i.am, while If You Could See Me Now is spirited and heartfelt. For the most part, though, #3 – who gave the green light to that title? – is rock with all the rage and idiosyncrasies removed. Barbra Streisand Release Me Release Me, a collection of previously unreleased songs spanning a cross-section of Barbra Streisand's career from 1963 to the present is set to be released this year. Release Me is a true treasure trove in the best sense of the term - it is not just a lost gem, but an entire, newly-unearthed tomb of crown jewels and diadems; an ark all its own. Release Me will be available on Vinyl September 25th and CD October 9th. FILMS Pink Picks Taylor Swift Red Taylor Swift's highly-anticipated fourth studio album will be released worldwide on October 22nd.. Entitled Red, the album will be released on Big Machine Records and contains 16 tracks. After writing her last album (Speak Now) entirely by herself, for this record Taylor collaborated with several artists, producers, and songwriters she had always wanted to work with.
