Travelmarvel offers a four-day journey that includes one night in the Rwandan capital of Kigali, and two nights in the Volcanoes National Park. VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK Home to one third of the world's remaining mountain gorillas, the Volcanoes National Park is made up of a chain of extinct and active volcanoes. This park protects the Rwandan side of the Virungas volcanoes, and offers a safe passage to see mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. GORILLAS IN THE MIST The trek through Rwanda's forests is an achievement fully rewarded by the magical experience of observing gorillas in their natural setting. Thick bamboo forests carpet the mountains, affording travellers perfect vantage points to get an up-close look at these endangered primates. Non- refundable permit and deposit is due within seven days of booking. Prices also include one-night's accommodation with breakfast in Kigali, two nights' full-board accommodation at Volcanoes National Park, transfers, local guides, gorilla trackers and flying doctor service for emergency evacuation. Prices do not include flights to and from Kigali, gratuities or the services of a Travelmarvel Tour Director, however, you will be assisted by local guides. This extension package can be added to the start or finish of your escorted Africa tour. A maximum of one hour is spent with the gorillas. Fitness Levels To participate in this tour a good level of fitness is required.
