Day 10. Bronnoysund,
Torghatten, Freedom of Choice.
Cruise past Vikingen and see
the Arctic Circle monument. Sail
through Bronnoysund and admire
breathtaking Mount Torghatten,
one of the most famous landmarks
on the Norwegian coast. At this
magnificent site, you will have a
choice of different guided walks,
including one walk that takes you
to view the legendary 'hole' in the
mountain. Afterwards, return to
your ship for dinner. BLD
Day 11. Trondheim. Arrive in
Trondheim, founded in 997 and
the capital of Norway during the
Viking Age, until 1217. Discover
the world's oldest open-air
museum, the Norwegian Folk
Museum, with its vintage buildings,
stave church and Sami huts. Learn
about daily life for Norwegian
people from the 16th century
through to the present. BLD
Day 12. Nordfjord, Olden.
Sail into Nordfjord, a fjord that cuts
its way inland to the mighty icefields
of the Jostedal Glacier. Arrive at
the village of Olden and pass
beautiful lakes on the way to the
spectacular Briksdal Glacier. Take
a walk to the viewing point, where
you will enjoy the opportunity to
take in the awe-inspiring glacial
spectacle first-hand. BLD
Day 13. Bygstad. Absorb the
stunning scenery in and around
Bygstad then continue to the
open-air Sunnfjord Museum,
home to a number of antiquarian
buildings set in an authentic
cultural landscape. After stopping
to explore, a particularly picturesque
drive takes you to the stunning
region of Norway known
as 'waterfall country'. BLD
Day 14. Sognefjord,
Naeroyfjord. Spend much of
today cruising the majestic fjords
of Norway. Begin by cruising over
Sognefjord, the country's largest
fjord and the third longest in
the world. Continue on to World
Heritage-listed Naeroyfjord, an
exquisite branch of Sognefjord.
Glide beneath the rugged
mountain peaks past tumbling
waterfalls and luscious emerald
valleys that line the fjord. BLD
Day 15. Flåm, Undredal.
Today embark on one of
Europe's most scenic rail
journeys along the famed Flåm
Railway. Glide through verdant
countryside that's set more than
850 metres above sea-level. Then,
after lunch, traverse spectacularly
remote countryside on the way
to Undredal, a fairytale-like
village located along the
beautiful Aurlandsfjorden. BLD
