Enjoy some time to settle into your cabin and explore the ship before heading to the restaurant for the Captain's Welcome Dinner where you'll get a glimpse into the action-filled days to come. The major attraction of the world's most untouched continent is its awe-inspiring landscapes and spectacular wildlife, and at dinner, you'll get the opportunity to meet your like-minded fellow passengers. Afterwards, head to the deck to admire the mountainous scenery of South America's most southerly tip on an early evening cruise down the Beagle Channel in the Tierra del Fuego Archipelago. Your wildlife spotting begins here as you pass colonies of Magellanic penguin, Rock Cormorants and sea lions. 10 Night Cruise: Le Boréal. BD Days 10-11. Drake Passage. Over the course of the next two days, you'll cross the Drake Passage, which connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans between Cape Horn and the South Shetland Islands. During this time, you'll learn all about the adventures ahead as you participate in a range of informative, entertaining and interactive presentations on the wildlife, history and geology of Antarctica. BLD Days 12-16. Antarctic Peninsula. On arrival in Antarctica, your itinerary becomes flexible in order to maximise your discovery of this enchanting world of ice and water. Utilising the vast knowledge of your experienced naturalist guides and Expedition Leader, your Captain will charter a course based on the most exciting sightseeing opportunities available and the most favourable ice and weather conditions. Perhaps head to the island town of Tigre where you can enjoy a cruise over the waterways of the Paraná Delta. Alternatively, explore the ways in which Buenos Aires has been influenced by Paris during a walking tour, or perhaps head to Teatro Colón to absorb the remarkable ambience and grandeur of one of the finest opera houses in the world. The rest of the day is yours to explore at your own pace. B Day 9. Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, Embark Antarctica Cruise. Transfer to the airport and board your included flight to Ushuaia, the capital of Tierra del Fuego. On arrival you'll be transferred to your luxury expedition ship, Le Boréal.
