Nourlangie Rock, Yellow Water Billabong Cruise. This morning, spend time at Warradjan Cultural Centre. The traditional owners of Kakadu National Park wanted to tell their story and you can read of it amongst the displays here. Afterwards, view Nourlangie rock art sites depicting the social and environmental changes through indigenous occupation within the region. The light paints a magical picture over Nanguluwur as you ascend to the viewpoint. Later, cruise along Yellow Water Billabong and spot the abundance of wildlife thriving off the largest river system in Kakadu National Park. This will be a sunset to remember. Stay: Cooinda Lodge. BLD Day 6. Nitmiluk National Park. Today, visit Gunlom, a beautiful combination of a natural waterfall and plunge pool. Continue to Nitmiluk National Park and check into your exclusive accommodation at Cicada Lodge, a luxury eco property. Enjoy canapés on arrival, before indulging in a superb dinner showcasing the region's finest produce. Stay: Katherine, Cicada Lodge. BLD Day 7. Adelaide River, Edith Falls, Darwin, Melville Island. Visit the poignant and beautifully maintained war cemetery at Adelaide River. Continue to Leliyn (Edith Falls). Made up of a number of falls and rock pools with scenic views around the Edith River, you can the take a swim in the inviting rock pools or perhaps take a bushwalk along one of the various walking tracks, which traverse up the falls. Return to Darwin, where you will board your scenic flight to the Tiwi Islands. Two Night Stay: Melville Island Lodge. (Please note that this accommodation has varying room types, and while basic, is clean and comfortable with private ensuites. The lodge is set in an exquisite location, providing access this remote and pristine part of Australia). BLD Day 8. Melville Island. The Tiwi Islands comprise Melville Island, Bathurst Island and nine smaller uninhabited islands. For the next two days, you will discover the unique culture and wildlife of Melville Island. You will also have exclusive use of your private lodge throughout your discovery. (Please note the following order 53 OUTBACK NORTHERN TERRITORY of touring may vary). Board a fascinating private charter wildlife cruise along Goose Creek. Keep an eye out for crocodiles, buffalo, brolgas, jabirus and sea eagles. At the end of the day, savour a sensational sunset from your lodge before enjoying dinner later in the evening. BLD Day 9. Melville Island, Darwin. Gain a greater insight into the Indigenous way of life in the Tiwi Islands with a visit to the Jilimara Art Centre and Tiwi Museum. Here, you will be able to talk to the artists about their wood carvings of birds or their unique designs on woven cotton and delicate silks. After your second day of exploring the Tiwi Islands, board your return flight back to Darwin, where you will then transfer to your Darwin hotel. This evening, farewell newfound friends during a tantalising Farewell Dinner. Stay: Darwin, Mantra on the Esplanade. BLD Day 10. Depart Darwin. After breakfast, your Kakadu and Tiwi Explorer comes to an end. You will be transferred to Darwin airport for your onward flight. B 20 MAX.
