This evening, get to know you Driver-Guide and fellow travellers at a Welcome Dinner. Stay: Darwin, Mantra on the Esplanade. D Day 2. Darwin, Mary River Wetlands, Leichhardt Point. Journey to the magnificent Mary River Wetlands. Approximately 170km from Darwin, you'll discover a natural wonderland home to the world's highest concentration of saltwater crocodiles and a myriad of active birdlife and colourful flora. Choose between a variety of walking trails taking in termite mounds, wallabies, birdlife and the occasional buffalo wallowing in the wetland mud. In the late afternoon, journey through forests and savannah to watch the sunset over the wetlands from Leichhardt Point. Tonight, enjoy a delicious dinner during your stay at Wildman Wilderness Lodge, offering luxurious accommodation in this remote region. Stay: Wildman Wilderness Lodge. BLD Day 3. Ubirr, Aboriginal Rock Art, Guluyambi Cruise. Travel into Kakadu National Park and visit Ubirr with its galleries of rock art and magnificent views across the Nadab Plains. Journey along the East Alligator River on the Guluyambi Cruise. An Aboriginal guide will explain the culture, history and wildlife of the region. Later, arrive at Hawk Dreaming Wilderness Lodge, located in a restricted area of Kakadu. Two Night Stay: Hawk Dreaming Wilderness Lodge. BLD Day 4. Arnhem Land, Hawk Dreaming, Cannon Hill. Accompanied by a local guide, cross the East Alligator River into the magical and spiritual Arnhem Land. Experience the ancient art and natural beauty of a region that is normally inaccessible to most travellers. This afternoon, return to Kakadu and enjoy the art and billabongs of Cannon Hill and Hawk Dreaming. (Please note, order of touring may vary.
