Two Night Stay: Lawn Hill National Park, Adels Grove, in tented cabins. BLD Day 7. Lawn Hill National Park. Enjoy a full day to immerse yourself in the wonders of Lawn Hill National Park. Discover the breathtaking emerald waters and lush vegetation of the area. Marvel at the magnitude of Adels Grove Escaprpment, a sandstone area that is normally off-limits to the general public. Enjoy the rest of the day to explore the region at your leisure. This evening, enjoy a tantalising dinner before retreating to your accommodation. BLD Day 8. Lawn Hill National Park, Karumba. Travel along the iconic Savannah Way towards Karumba. Stop at Leichhardt Falls and Camp 119, the most northerly camp of the Burke and Wills expedition. See the famous Purple Pub, Victorian era railway station and Normanton. Continue to Karumba and end your day with a sunset cruise. Relax with a cold drink and enjoy a selection of local produce as you watch a breathtaking sun setting over the Gulf of Carpentaria. Stay: Karumba Lodge Motel or End of the Road Motel. BLD Day 9. Karumba, Gulflander Train, Croydon, Cobbold Gorge. Ride the historic Gulflander Train from 'nowhere to nowhere'. Arrive in Croydon for a self-guided walking tour. After, travel to Cobbold Gorge, hidden away within a spectacularly rugged sandstone formation. The gorge is extremely narrow, closing to a mere two metres wide in places. This afternoon, enjoy a tour and boat cruise through the magnificent waterways. Stay: Cobbold Gorge Hotel. BLD Day 10. Cobbold Gorge, Undara. Journey to the 190,000 year-old Undara Lava Tubes, a series of underground tunnels formed during a volcanic eruption in the region. Enjoy lunch, then join a Savannah Guide for an informative tour of the tubes. Stay: Undara Lava Lodge. BLD Day 11. Atherton Tablelands, Cairns. Travel to Cairns via a stop at Ravenshoe, located 920 metres above sea level at the top of the Atherton Tablelands. Stay: Cairns, Shangri-La Hotel, The Marina. BLD 20 MAX.
