72 Marvel at the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier 26 Day Torres del Paine National Park & El Calafate 5-Night Patagonia Discovery Day 1. Arrive Santiago (Chile). Welcome to Santiago, the capital of Chile. This afternoon explore the city's landmarks on a guided tour, before enjoying a Welcome Reception tonight. Two Night Stay: The Singular Santiago. Day 2. Santiago, Freedom of Choice. Today, you might like to travel to the colourful port city of Valparaíso for a tour of the World Heritage-listed Historic Quarter and a funicular ride. Alternatively, learn about the history of Chilean wine during a tour and tasting at the picturesque Santa Rita winery. BL Day 3. Santiago, Punta Arenas, Puerta Natales. Fly south to the port city of Punta Arenas, a sprawling metropolis on the edge of the Strait of Magellan. Upon arrival, transfer to the historic pioneer town of Puerta Natales and check in to your luxurious hotel, gateway to Torres del Paine National Park. Venture into Los Glaciares National Park this morning. Visit the enormous Perito Moreno Glacier and gaze at the unrelenting beauty of its high ice walls. This World Heritage- listed glacier is considered to be one of South America's most astonishing and iconic sights. Perito Moreno is particularly famous for its dynamic changes – it is constantly growing into the lake and ruptures at irregular intervals. It is quite common for the ice to break and fall from its front walls, creating a spectacular scene. If this occurs, you'll hear a sharp crack rip through the air, a phenomenon known as white lightning. BL Day 8. El Calafate, Buenos Aires. Today you'll fly to the lively Argentinian capital, Buenos Aires. Be met at the airport and transfer to your hotel in the fashionable Recoleta barrio (district) of Buenos Aires. At your hotel this evening, discover Argentina's national dance during a special tango lesson with the talented dancers of Rojo Tango.
