Incredible Works of Nature
Widely regarded as one of the world's
deepest canyons, the Colca Canyon offers
a number of once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
Observe ancient Inca terraces built into the
terrain; take in spectacular scenery as you
ascend to the tiny village of Chivay in
the heart of the Colca Valley; and upon
exploring this unique region, you'll uncover
lush oasis areas burgeoning in small
pockets of an otherwise barren wilderness.
The Great Andean Condor
During your time in the Colca Canyon,
you'll marvel at the highly-terraced pre-Inca
fields of Chivay as you make your way to
the viewpoint of Mirador Cruz del Condor.
Here, you'll relish the opportunity to see the
magnificent Andean condor at close range.
Watch as they soar high above the steep
canyon walls on the warm thermal air,
reaching as high as 1,200 metres above
the canyon floor.
Exotic Arequipa
Known as the 'White City' for its many
buildings constructed of light-coloured
volcanic rock, the dazzling city of Arequipa
lies amid some of Peru's most unforgiving
yet spectacular terrain. Be guided through
the town centre, home to many monumental
buildings such as the mysterious Santa
Catalina Monastery. There are also beautiful
parks and gardens to explore, the ideal
place to absorb the architecture of this city.
