"I have zero self-discipline, its a
problem. Maybe that is something I
should change but screw it, its way
too much fun the other way. "
Claudia Batten p.19
"Democratic organizations
point fingers, not in a blaming
way but in a liberating way.
They are crystal clear about who
is accountable to whom and
for what. Where there are no
secrets about accountability or
performance, everyone is able
to both take responsibility and
to hold each other to account
when things are not done or
not done right."
Viv Maidaborn p.56

"I wish these social media had been better established during my
time in politics. Facebook and Twitter were still in their relative infancy
when I left New Zealand, and they have grown exponentially since. I
find social media a very effective way to reach out to global audiences,
and convey a sense of the importance of development issues and the
work Im doing. They also enable me to keep up with family and friends
at home."
