DAY 1: ARRIVAL Begin your tour seamlessly by meeting your tour representative in baggage claim to transfer to your Anchorage hotel. DAY 2: ANCHORAGE CITY TOUR & TURNAGAIN ARM Visit the historic downtown district and the world-class Anchorage Museum, dedicated to preserving, exhibiting, and interpreting the art and history of Alaska. Afterwards, board a deluxe motor coach to Seward, known as the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. Travel along the scenic Turnagain Arm and end the day with a welcome dinner before settling in for your overnight stay in Seward. (B, D) DAY 3: KENAI FJORDS NATIONAL PARK Spend the morning exploring the seaside village of Seward, one of Alaska's oldest and most scenic communities, then board a glacier-and-wildlife cruise through Kenai Fjords National Park, where humpback and killer whales, sea otters, harbor seals, sea lions, and puffins ply the waters. Return to your Seward hotel for the evening. (B, L) DAY 4: JOURNEY TO TALKEETNA Settle into a comfortable motor coach to make your way north to Talkeetna along the stunning Parks Highway. Several stops take advantage of the views you'll experience before arriving at this quaint town. Choose to explore its charm on your own, or take an optional flight-seeing, hiking, or jet boat tour. You have plenty of time since you'll be staying for the night. (B) DAY 5: DENALI NATIONAL PARK A Deluxe Dome Railcar provides outstanding views of the incredible Denali National Park; its leisurely speed gives you ample opportunity to keep a lookout for the black bears that fish along the Susitna River. Through the clouds, see if you can spy the top of Mt. McKinley on your way to Denali. The afternoon is yours for free time, a complimentary park program, or activities such as mild or wild river rafting; flight-seeing; a jet boat safari; or a tour of an Iditarod champion's award-winning dog kennel. (B) DAY 6: TUNDRA WILDERNESS TOUR Travel deep into the heart of Denali National Park in search of the incredible wildlife that lives peacefully within its borders. Bears, moose, caribou, and Dall sheep are all commonly spotted here. After this exciting excursion, return to your Denali hotel. Please note that early May and September tours may be shortened due to road conditions.
