Leveraging the great spirit generated by the Rugby World Cup is vital, as is the rebuilding of Christchurch. Investing in infrastructure to keep New Zealand competitive is also going to be a challenge in the year ahead. What will your main business focus be on achieving? Growing cruising as a holiday category. How do you intend to work smarter? By regularly asking, 'Is this meeting really necessary?' What do you plan doing more of in 2012? I want to read more and cruise more so I can read more! And less of? Worrying less about things I can't change. What will your technology purchase be this year? I'm looking forward to the next version of iPad. What was the best book you read last year? Fall of the Giants by Ken Follett for its great historical insights through the eyes of a disparate but connected group of people – a great read. How did you pay it forward in 2011? Worked so that cruising delivers economic benefits to small communities in the South Pacific, including opportunities for women in tourism-related ventures and jobs for locally recruited staff on P&O Cruises' ships. Who would you most like to sit next to on an international journey this year? Richie McCaw, to get the inside 'scoop' on the All Blacks victory. If you could change one thing about the world right now, it would be? Refocusing on the impact of the GFC on people in developing countries. Your best advice to school leavers is? Do something you love and feel passionate about. Your best advice to people starting a business this year is?
