"The Garden Isle" is the oldest and northernmost
island in the Hawaiian chain. Kauai is draped in
emerald valleys, sharp mountain spires and jagged
cliffs, aged by time and the elements. Centuries of
growth have formed tropical rainforests, forking
rivers and cascading waterfalls. Some parts of
Kauai such as the Napali Coast are accessible
only by sea or air, revealing views beyond your
imagination. Easy access comes to the uncrowded
crescent-shaped beaches such as Tunnels Beach.
Beyond Kauai's dramatic beauty, the island is
home to a variety of outdoor activities. Kayak
on the Wailua River and snorkel on Poipu Beach.
Hike the trails of Kokee State Park and zipline
above Kauai's lush valleys. Despite the countless
opportunities for adventure, it's the island's
laid-back atmosphere and rich culture that make
it truly timeless. Make your escape to the Garden
Isle and discover the undeniable allure it brings.

Pictured: Perched at the northernmost tip of
Kauai, the 52-foot Kilauea Lighthouse was built
in 1913 as a beacon for traveling ships. Although
its light was turned off in the 1970s and has been
replaced by an automatic beacon, it still serves as
one of the island's most frequented attractions.
