OUR EXPEDITIONS SENIOR MANAGEMENT TEAM,
with an average of 31 years of polar experience per person,
oversees all aspects of the expedition, from onboard lectures
and enrichment to landings and watercraft excursions.
JØRN HENRIKSEN (NORWAY), DIRECTOR OF
EXPEDITION OPERATIONS, was born and raised in Arctic
Norway. With over 31 years of experience, he spent 25 years
working with polar expeditions in the Svalbard archipelago.
After leading hiking and skiing trips, as well as glacier
traverses, he has been focusing on shipborne expedition
voyages in both polar regions. Jørn has also worked to
improve the industry standards of expedition voyages as a
member of the executive committee of the International
Association of Antarctica Tour Operators (IAATO).
AARON LAWTON (CANADA), EXPEDITION OPERATIONS
MANAGER, is a fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical
Society, has 30 years of expeditions experience and has
been a kayak guide on more than 150 voyages to the
Arctic and Antarctic polar regions throughout his career.
He currently serves as the Chair of the IAATO Field
Operations Committee.
