It's the little things that make our ships feel like home
AS YOU SETTLE IN ON BOARD, we encourage you to take a closer look around Because we know that
it's the little things that make the biggest diff erence when you're away from home, we have designed
our ships down to the fi nest detail The fl oor-to-ceiling windows found throughout the ship ensure our
guests are immersed in their destination from dawn 'til dusk, and we purposefully face many of our sun
loungers outward to provide further opportunity to soak up the sweeping sea views We even source
the fl our for our kitchens from Minoterie Planchot, because, as our Executive Chef says, "you cannot
make real French bread unless you use French fl our "
Every onboard feature has been chosen with purpose, and every design fl ourish holds a tale that can be
traced back to our Nordic heritage The warm, Scandinavian-style Living Room is teeming with nautical
touches and houses a clinker-built bar that nods to ancient Viking longships In the atrium, you'll fi nd a
delicate Lichen garden under the stairs, sourced straight from the Finse mountains in Norway And the
design of each Explorers' Lounge across our fl eet of ocean ships was inspired by a diff erent explorer,
such as former NASA astronaut Anna Lee Fisher – the fi rst mother in space – who inspired the galaxy-
themed lounge on Viking Orion
