Vancouver. On arrival at Vancouver Airport, you'll be met and transferred to your hotel. Settle in to your elegant room and enjoy lovely views of the city skyline, then meet your fellow travellers at a Welcome Dinner. Two Night Stay: Vancouver, The Fairmont Waterfront Hotel. D LAKESIDE BARBECUE IN JASPER As the late afternoon sun sets over the treetops of Jasper National Park, you'll join us for a brief but pleasant drive through the grounds of The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge to the tranquil shores of Trefoil Lake. Here awaits a genuinely wonderful alfresco dining experience. Absorb the colours of the lake as it reflects the sunset on nearby Pyramid Mountain; dine on sumptuous freshly prepared local Canadian cuisine; and absorb the beautiful rhythms of a group of First Nations entertainers who will serenade you throughout your meal. Freedom of ChoiceTM – Sightseeing Freedom of ChoiceTM – Dining Signature Experience 66 the Coast Mountains; pass the thundering waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon; and glide past the steep rocky slopes as your train follows the Thompson River on its way to the city of Kamloops. Stay: Kamloops, hotel as assigned by Rocky Mountaineer (Kamloops has limited accommodation – two or three-star hotels). BL Day 2. Vancouver, Freedom of Choice Sightseeing. After breakfast today, select from a number of activities. Perhaps wander above the Capilano River and through the treetops of coastal rainforest along the bridges and walkways of Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. Or take a tour of the Granville Island Public Market, where you'll enjoy the opportunity to sample fresh locally-grown produce and wander amid the colourful stalls that showcase a range of home-made craft and art. Alternatively, set out on a city sightseeing tour; enjoy a Coast Rainforest Adventure in Stanley Park; be led on a Gastown Neighbourhood Shopping Tour; or perhaps explore Stanley Park by bicycle. Afterwards, the remainder of the afternoon and evening is yours at leisure to relax or further explore. B Day 4. Mount Robson, Jasper. Your Rocky Mountaineer rail adventure continues north-east today, towards the majestic Canadian Rockies. Follow the North Thompson River through the Monashee Mountains and past Pyramid Creek Falls – where glacier-fed Pyramid Creek tumbles out of a hanging valley into the river below. After taking in the spectacular sight of Mount Robson – the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies – you'll climb over the Yellowhead Pass on the way to beautiful Jasper National Park, where your wonderful rail journey concludes. Two Night Stay: Jasper National Park, The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. BL ROCKY MOUNTAINEER RAIL JOURNEY Day 3. Kamloops. This morning you'll step aboard the famous Rocky Mountaineer and relax in the comfort of your GoldLeaf carriage as you set out into the mountains along the awe-inspiring route – the Journey through the Clouds. Take in the lush fertile fields of the Fraser River Valley; see the towering peaks of CANADA'S AWE-INSPIRING ROCKIES Day 5. Jasper, Freedom of Choice Sightseeing. This morning you have the opportunity to personalise your holiday experience by selecting from a wide range of activities on offer in Jasper National Park.
