Juneau. Today arrive in Alaska's capital, Juneau, set at the foot of grand mountain peaks on the Gastineau Channel. From here, enjoy an included excursion to view Mendenhall Glacier, fed from an icefield set high above Juneau. After stopping at the visitor centre, continue on to Auke Bay. Here, board a catamaran and set off on a whale watching cruise over the island-studded waters of Stephens Passage. Watch for sea lions, harbour seals, porpoises, bald eagles, blacktail deer and, of course, humpback whales – which you are almost guaranteed to see.
