The main conning position is well laid out for ease of use The boats are air conditioned for operating in the high temperature of the north, and warmth in the colder latitudes around the bottom of the Australian continent. A Caterpillar C1.5 11kW Genset supplied by Gough Cats is installed down aft in one hull to ensure that there is ample power for the air conditioning, and to ease systems in the galley. The galley is small, with an electric hob, microwave, fry pan or crock pot, electric jug and toaster. Each boat has a flybridge that is a little unusual, in as much as they have two helm stations; one facing forwards and the other facing aft, with excellent all-round visibility for manoeuvring and handling. Mounted up top are the two easy launch, auto release, Surviva 25-person liferafts, packed to Australian PROUD SUPPLIER OF SAFETY EQUIPMENT TO PROFAB Coastal requirements. On board are also 25 RFD SOLAS 150N adult life jackets. Survitec RFD Nelson, supplied all the ancillary safety equipment to all the vessels. The cockpit deck, is massive for the size of these vessels. Through the deck are three access points each side to the engines and machinery. The forward raised coaming hatch is an all weather access hatch to get into the front of the engine space and the primary emergency pumps, switches and valves such as the sea chest valves and battery switches. Aft of that hatch is the main engine removal hatch which is locked down at all times unless the engines are being serviced in port. Aft of this hatch is a flush, watertight Freeman hatch for access aft of the engines, and to the steering gear, and/or water jets and genset. SEARCHLIGHT SONAR No Sonar has better directivity than WESMAR engineered transducers. 100% of the transducer surface area points in the direction of the fish in a sharp narrow beam. Dispersed fish and hard-to-mark fish are detected clutter-free. Now available from NZ distributor So-Pac Marine.
