For years Lysa and Gina struggled with food and weight: yo-yo dieting, binge eating, starving, poor self-esteem, no self-confidence and shockingly negative self-talk. We struggled for years, felt miserable, guilty and sabotaged our own efforts. From compulsive over-eating frenzies to totally controlled restriction, we danced between these two extremes frequently but we couldn't sustain either for very long.We yearned to feel 'normal', to just eat, enjoy food and maintain a comfortable weight easily. Together Lysa and Gina have been 40kg down for 18 years. Lysa has been 30 kilos lighter for 7 years, Gina 10 kilos lighter for 11 years. As a former personal trainer and former dietitian respectively, they taught and tried to live by the rules of dieting for years, until they faced the truth that it doesn't bring any lasting success. BEFORE We believed that the only way to lose weight was to limit our choices, restrict our portion sizes and avoid any 'bad' or 'unhealthy' foods. From Atkins to The Zone, we tried them all, lost a few kilos, only to regain them back as soon as we strayed from the diet. So, how did they do it... without dieting? Lysa and Gina have pioneered a new approach to weight loss that's teaching people how to eat, think and become just like naturally slim people. They discovered that naturally slim people have a completely different mindset and set of skills when it comes to food and weight. There is an idea that some people are born naturally slim, and that those people are just lucky. But we are all born with the ability to discern the physical signs of hunger and satiety that guide us to know how to attain and maintain a normal healthy weight. Many of us, particularly if we struggle with excess weight, have forgotten this natural ability to be self-guided around food and eating. Working personally with hundreds of women from, teenagers to Mums, to post-menopausal women and retirees, Lysa and Gina know that anyone who applies these skills gets results. Their new book - Lysa and Gina's Approach: The Weigh to Freedom has been written to help other women to break free from the struggle with food and weight. Their NEW BOOK covers the four levels of their approach: EAT: Discover how you can slim while still enjoying all foods, including chocolate! THINK: Get the right mindset to drop weight easily. FEEL: Take back control so you no longer succumb to emotional over-eating. BE: Uncover the joy and ease of living authentically and create a life that you love. BEFORE "I decided to put into practice the principles I learned through Lysa and Gina's Support Tool Kit. Since then I have lost 17kgs, and my husband has lost 20kg! I haven't felt hungry or tired from lack of food at all. My friends are all currently doing a 12-week diet competition and are all struggling with losing weight by depriving themselves. I joined the competition, but said that I don't believe in diets and will never diet again. I'm so grateful for what you have taught me because my friends are miserable and craving food, and hungry. I am happy, full and satisfied and I have lost more weight than them!"
