Since 2009 she has been focussed on BigEars for Customer Satisfaction surveys –enhancing customer experience (CX) and closing the feedback loop, delivering businesses the voice of their customer in rich, insightful, and authentic audio clips. www.yourbigears.com 30 | www.h e rmagaz i n e . c o. n z Helen Joronen GREENKEEPER SYSTEMS Tammy Viitakangas MATA BREWERY After researching businesses to buy, franchises or a product to distribute and having found nothing appealing, Helen Joronen went back to work after the Christmas holidays in 2008, and realised that all PCs, Laptops and Servers had been running since they'd gone to the pub on December 22nd. That was her lightbulb moment. Research found that the office had chewed through 157kg of carbon over the holidays. Helen has since established Greenkeeper Systems. "The average home PC is using at least $100 of power when you are not sitting at it, so why not put that extra $100 back in your pocket." www.greenkeepersystems.com Tammy Viitakangas and her partner Jaysen Magan created a bit of heaven on the edge of the earth when they, partnered with Tammy's parents Jouni and Gloria Viitakangas, founded Aotearoa Breweries NZ Limited in December of 2005. As proponents of the Kiwi lifestyle, Viitakangas and Magan wanted to create a series of beers that accentuated the fresh, raw edge of brewing in the South Pacific. The result was the creation of a line called Mata Beer, a title that celebrated the edge of innovation and the competitive spirit that keeps them at the head of the pack. www.mata.net.nz
