Editor's Note
Living with Passion
If there's one emotion that enables us to leap out of bed each day,
it's
PASSION.
Remember the intense passion you originally felt when you fell in
love, travelled overseas, started your first job, opened your own
business, graduated, saved your first $100 dollars, had a special
goal and actually achieved it?
Passion makes us invincible and unstoppable. We get things done,
we feel great, we're on fire. It's not a bad idea then to reignite and
recapture such a 'Passion for Life' each and every day.
Let me tell you how I manage it, even through the thick and thin that
makes up this amazingly crazy life of mine.
1# Love what you are doing!
You can never be great at anything if you don't love what you are
doing! Not feeling the love from your job? Then plan, prepare, mobilize your plans and love what you do next.
2# Stand for something and make a difference!
My personal passions after fashion are; empowering women, supporting wellness through our MillionforaMillion.co.nz campaign and
advocacy for all animals in NZ, (currently lobbying against testing
party pills on dogs. Yes, it's going on in our own backyard in New
Zealand right now!

3# Spread the word!
Passion puts things in perspective. Passion enables success - not
always overnight but it will happen! Passion gets you involved,
enabling you to make valuable contributions.
Passion makes you likeable, it brings people together, it is infectious. Passion loves company. Tell people about your aims and
share your enthusiasm – be infectious and you'll be surprised by
the support you will receive.
I am about to launch my third book - 'Rock the Boat' - a book
that is all about getting women to have a voice, make a stand, live
that great life and never accept that status quo just because they
believe that this is their lot. Each chapter is supported with a contribution from a veritable who's who of business gurus who have
shared their wisdom to this project so generously.
4# Be creative.
Living by design means buying that bunch of flowers, trying a new
tea flavour, experiment with your make up, getting amidst the little
delights that lift us up and keep us in the zone each day.
I was delighted when we finally agreed on the new cover of Her
Magazine. We just wanted to try something different to reflect our
own passion for spreading the capability word.
So I leave you with this thought … On my passion ladder I may
be already several rungs in the right direction in terms of my own
goals but you will never see me resting on that ladder. I know that
2013 is going to be the best year ever for my family, my business
and all those that I nurture and support. How can I be so sure?
Because I love my life and love what I do!
I love getting feedback from our readers, and Letters to the Editor
