Arrive Darwin. On arrival in Darwin today, be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon, a tour of Darwin includes a visit to the city's botanic gardens. Tonight, get to know your fellow travellers and Travelmarvel Tour Director during a special Welcome Dinner. Stay: Novotel Atrium Darwin. Day 2. Darwin, Katherine Gorge. Early this morning, 16 Day (TWS16) guests join the tour. Travel to the Adelaide River and the Australian war cemetery. After time to explore, head to Katherine Gorge and embark on a guided cruise through the gorge. Afterwards, continue on to the famous outback town of Katherine. Stay: Ibis Styles Katherine. Day 3. Katherine, Kununurra, Ord River, Lake Argyle. Departing Katherine and the Northern Territory today, you'll cross the border into Western Australia and head to Kununurra, gateway to the Kimberley region. From here, join a wildlife cruise along the Ord River, keeping an eye out for crocodiles and the many species of birdlife that call this area home. See Lake Argyle, a man-made lake that dwarfs Sydney Harbour. Stay: Ibis Styles Kununurra. Day 4. Kununurra, El Questro Wilderness Park. Halls Creek, BD Geikie Gorge, Fitzroy Crossing. After breakfast, journey along the Great Northern Highway to Geikie Gorge, where flooding has created a bleached effect on the limestone walls.
