Chobe National Park During today's game drive through Chobe National Park, delight in the many chances to spot Africa's famous mammals, thanks to the park's high density of elephant herds and lion prides. BLD Day 16. Chobe National Park, Livingstone, Johannesburg Head to Livingstone once more and take an included flight back to Johannesburg for an overnight stay. Stay: Johannesburg, Peermont Mondior Hotel. B Day 17. Johannesburg, Nairobi (Kenya) Take an included flight to Nairobi. This evening, you'll meet your Kenyan Tour Director. Stay: Nairobi, Eka Hotel. B Day 18. Nairobi, Amboseli National Park It's time to explore Kenya. Your first stop is Amboseli National Park, arriving at Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge in time for lunch. Located against the magnificent backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro and in the heart of this world-famous national park, the lodge offers you the perfect base from which to embark on your Kenyan safari. After lunch you will enjoy an afternoon game drive to look for the Big Five as well as hippos and a variety of water fowl which can be found near the park's wetlands. Sundowner drinks at Observation Hill rounds out a perfect first game drive in Amboseli National Park. You'll then return to the lodge to relax and enjoy an expertly prepared dinner. Two Nights: Amboseli National Park, Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge. BLD Day 19. Amboseli National Park Wake early then enjoy some tea and a snack in preparation for another exciting day of game viewing. As always, your expert game driver/tracker will be on hand to ensure you get the best possible opportunities to see the animals of Kenya. The afternoon takes you to a Maasai village in Amboseli National Park. Wander about the huts they have built with their own hands and delight in their unique and colourful jewellery. This is an intriguing way to learn about a fascinating culture. BLD Day 20. Amboseli National Park, Nairobi, Lake Naivasha It's onto the next adventure as you take a short flight to Nairobi. Arrive at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge and during free time, you may like to join our select experience to Crescent Island (see page 51 for further details). Two Nights: Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge. BLD Day 21. Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru National Park A full-day game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park offers yet another window into life in Africa's animal kingdom. Look for white rhinos around the soda-encrusted lake at the centre of the park and keep your eyes locked on the grassy plains in search of zebras, buffalo and graceful Rothschild's giraffes. Make a stop for lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge, where you will dine al fresco in the Flamingo Restaurant and enjoy views out to picturesque Lake Nakuru. Your lunch will include fresh local produce and herbs from the lodge's garden. Return to your lodge for dinner. BLD Day 22. Lake Naivasha, Masai Mara Witness dramatic landscapes as you drive across a section of the Great Rift Valley to the endless plains of the Masai Mara. The vast open spaces provide excellent game viewing, which is why this reserve is one of the most well regarded for wildlife in all of Africa. After lunch this afternoon, head out on an exhilarating game drive, noticing how different these landscapes are compared to those you experienced in South Africa. Three Nights: Masai Mara, Mara Leisure Camp. BLD Day 23. Masai Mara A free morning gives you the chance to experience the Masai Mara from the skies on a magical hot-air balloon ride (see page 51 for further details). Afterwards, head back to the lodge for a delicious breakfast and a chance to recall all you've just witnessed before heading out on another game drive. The Masai Mara delivers those quintessential safari scenes of endless grassy plains, peppered with acacia trees and powerful predators who stalk unsuspecting prey. Thanks to your expert game driver/tracker, you'll enjoy a remarkable day in the wild on the prowl for wildlife. BLD Day 24. Masai Mara Experience the beauty of an African sunrise and discover the morning rituals of the local wildlife during an early breakfast ahead of today's first game drive. This afternoon's game drive, meanwhile, once again brings you plenty of chances to catch a close-up look at the animals that call the expansive grasslands of the Masai Mara home. Delight in an unforgettable bush dinner this evening and experience the flavours of the region. Dine under the African night sky as you reflect on the day's adventures with your fellow passengers.
