45 Day 25. Masai Mara, Nairobi, Arusha (Tanzania) Enjoy your final morning in the Masai Mara, then transfer to the airstrip and board your scheduled flight to Nairobi. Be met by a bus on arrival at Nairobi and then transfer to Arusha in Tanzania, with a packed picnic lunch to enjoy along the way. You'll arrive later at The Arusha Hotel, an elegant boutique property situated on five acres of beautiful manicured gardens in the shadow of Mt Meru. Unwind and enjoy a free evening in and around your hotel. Stay: Arusha, The Arusha Hotel. BL Day 26. Arusha, Serengeti National Park Transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight into Serengeti National Park. You'll be met on the ground by your driver guide for a game drive into the golden plains of the national park. Best-known as a host to the epic Great Migration, the Serengeti is also famous for its predators, such as lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas, who spend their days perusing impalas, zebras, buffalo, gazelle and more. Arrive later at the Kati Kati Tented Camp in the central Serengeti. Relax by the campfire before dinner, then retire to your tented room with an ensuite. Serengeti National Park Get acquainted with the landscapes and wildlife of the Serengeti on a full-day game drive with your expert driver/tracker. BLD Day 28. Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater Leaving Serengeti National Park, take a 4WD out to Olduvai Gorge to explore one of the world's most important archaeological sites. Then it's off to World Heritage- listed Ngorongoro Crater. Marvel at the lush green scenery as you descend down the high crater walls, which act as a natural enclosure for the wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch and go in search of wildlife, before heading to your charming accommodation. Stay: Ngorongoro Farmhouse. BLD Day 29. Ngorongoro Crater, Mto wa Mbu, Lake Manyara, Arusha Travel to the tiny village of Mto wa Mbu to visit a local school and see what daily life is like for the students. You'll end the tour at a local restaurant where you can try a range of East African dishes. Enjoy an afternoon game drive at Lake Manyara, famous for its flamingos and baboons. As you head off-road, keep an eye out for the tree-climbing lions – it's not unusual to see an entire pride 3 4 Grand African Journey reclining in a single acacia tree. Smaller species you're likely to sight include zebra, warthog, waterbuck and impala. Later, travel back to Arusha for the night. Stay: Arusha, Mount Meru Game Lodge. BLD Day 30.
