The afternoon takes you to the Zambian side of the falls, during which a guide will share insightful commentary as you take in this spectacular sight. Described by the Kololo tribe living in the area in the 1800s as 'Mosi- oa-Tunya' (the smoke that thunders), it is known as the greatest curtain of falling water in the world. You may like to enhance your journey and choose from one of our select experiences in Victoria Falls. Absorb spectacular views as you fly over Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River during an awe- inspiring helicopter or microlight flight. Or, unwind during a sunset game-viewing cruise (see page 51 for further details). B Day 10. Victoria Falls With a further free day, why not revisit the falls – it's only a five minute walk away from your resort. Alternatively, relax and enjoy a leisurely day. B Day 11. Victoria Falls, Chobe National Park (Botswana) Travel across the border to Botswana's renowned Chobe National Park, known for having one of the largest concentrations of game in Africa. Located in Botswana's North West District, with the Chobe River forming the park's northern border, Chobe National Park provides the ultimate game-viewing experience. The Chobe floodplains and Chobe River provide a sensitive ecosystem where the wildlife of Botswana congregate during the dry season. These floodplains are home to thousands of elephants, along with a host of other animals and birds. But the highlight of a visit to Chobe National Park is the combination of wildlife, birdlife and reptiles that inhabit the banks of the Chobe River. This afternoon, head out on a thrilling sunset game cruise. No doubt you'll catch sight of a variety of wildlife returning to the Chobe River to quench their thirst at the end of the day. Two Nights: Chobe National Park, Chobe Bush Lodge or upgrade to a suite on a Chobe Princess Safariboat. BLD Day 12. Chobe National Park During this morning's game drive through Chobe National Park, delight in the many chances to spot Africa's famous mammals, thanks to the park's high density of elephant herds and lion prides. Buffalo, zebras, antelope, including lechwe may be seen here too, as well as an abundance of birdlife. A cruise along the Chobe River, meanwhile, offers you a unique way of viewing game and the picturesque African landscapes at sunset.
