Arrive Beijing On arrival, be met at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Tonight, enjoy a Welcome Reception. Three Nights: Beijing, Jianguo Hotel Beijing. Day 2. Beijing, Forbidden City The morning, visit Tiananmen Square and explore the vast Forbidden City. Tonight, savour a delicious Peking Duck banquet at a local restaurant. BD Day 3. Beijing, Great Wall of China Today, head for the Great Wall of China, and absorb fantastic views on a cable Car ride to the well- preserved Mutianyu section. Later, visit the Sacred Way of the Ming Dynasty Tombs, and stop at a jade factory before returning to the city via the Beijing National Stadium (the Bird's Nest). BL Day 4. Beijing, Yichang, Embark Cruise This morning, enjoy a pedicab tour of Beijing's charming old hutongs (alleys), and visit the home of a local Chinese family. Later, head to the airport for your included flight to Yichang. Transfer to your river ship to enjoy dinner on board. Four Nights: a premium Victoria Cruises river ship. BLD Day 5. Three Gorges Dam, Xiling Gorge Relax today and take in the stunning scenery of the Yangtze River as you cruise through the picturesque Three Gorges region. Disembark for a tour of the incredible Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest hydropower project. Later, cruise through Xiling Gorge, the longest and deepest of the Three Gorges. BLD Day 6. Three Lesser Gorges, Wu Gorge, Qutang Gorge Travel to the Daning River, home to the smaller but equally spectacular Three Lesser Gorges. Continue on through Wu Gorge, known for its sheer peaks and cliff faces, then pass between the Chijia and Baiyan mountains on the way to Qutang Gorge, the narrowest and most dramatic of the magnificent Three Gorges. BLD Day 7. Shibaozhai Arrive today at the base of a steep hill, into which is built Shibaozhai, a striking red pagoda. Disembark and explore the pagoda's 12 floors – each of which contains a range of unique artefacts. Later, there may also be an option to visit the 'Ghost City' of Fengdu (own expense). Back on board, enjoy a final onboard dinner with your fellow travellers. BLD 17 Days
