27 Day 12. Shanghai This morning take part in a tea ceremony at a teahouse in Yu Garden. Then visit a silk factory on the return to your hotel. Tonight, enjoy a Farewell Dinner of dumplings at Din Tai Fung restaurant. Later, perhaps see an acrobatic show (see page 44). BD Day 13. Depart Shanghai Enjoy a day at leisure then transfer to the airport. BLD Day 7. Shibaozhai Arrive today at the base of a steep hill, into which is built Shibaozhai, a striking red pagoda. Disembark and explore the pagoda's 12 floors – each of which contains a range of unique artefacts. There may also be an option to visit the 'Ghost City' of Fengdu (own expense), where you'll see a number of shrines, temples and monasteries on Ming Mountain. This evening, enjoy a final dinner on board. BLD Day 8. Chongqing, Disembark Cruise, Xi'an Disembark for the final time this morning in Chongqing, a port established in the 11th century that played a key role in World War II. From here, head to the Chongqing Zoo, where more than 200 varieties of rare animals are on display, including the famous giant pandas. Later, board an included flight to Xi'an. Enjoy a quintessential Chinese experience tonight as you indulge in a dumpling banquet and take in a Tang Dynasty show. Two Nights: Xi'an, Golden Flower Hotel by Shangri-La. BD Day 9. Xi'an You'll travel via a clay factory, where Terracotta soldiers are still made today, on the way to the Museum of Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses. Here, see the three excavation pits that contain countless sculptures of soldiers, chariots and horses that were buried around 210 BC. Tonight, head to Xi'an's Muslim Quarter where stalls are brimming with exotic treats and various souvenirs for sale. BL Day 10. Xi'an, Shanghai, Wuzhen After a morning at leisure, board your included flight to Shanghai. From here, travel to the ancient water town of Wuzhen, home to a network of beautiful canals and charming cobblestone streets. Tonight, check in to the Tong'an Guesthouse for your special overnight stay, before time at leisure this evening. Stay: Wuzhen, Tong'an Guesthouse. B Day 11. Wuzhen, Shanghai Board a boat for a cruise along the peaceful canals of Wuzhen, pretty waterways that offer a glimpse into ancient times. Back in Shanghai, enjoy an evening at leisure.
