35 Day 12. Stonehenge, London This morning you leave Bristol and travel by train and coach to London. Stop off at the famous Stonehenge, an ancient stone monument built on the Salisbury Plain over 3,000 years ago. At the visitor centre, discover how neolithic people lived and see a range of the tools and objects they used for everyday life that have been excavated from the mysterious site. Two Nights: London, Ambassador Bloomsbury. BD Day 13. London This morning enjoy a private welcome to the Tower of London by a Yeoman Warder. This afternoon is at leisure to explore England's capital further. Perhaps visit one of the many art galleries or museums, see the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, visit some of the many grand churches and cathedrals, or go shopping in famous department stores and high street precincts. Pass by valleys, lochs and glens as the famous train, which was immortalised as the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter films, takes you on a magical journey. Later a coach will take you to Ballachulish for an overnight stay. Stay: Ballachulish Hotel.^ B Day 7. Ballachulish, Glasgow Today a coach will take you to Glasgow. On the way you will stop at the Glenfinnan Monument, which is a tribute to the brave Jacobite clansmen who fought for freedom under Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1745. Stay: Glasgow, Jury's Inn. BD Day 8. Glasgow, Chester This morning, make your way to Glasgow's Central Station to board the train bound for Chester. Upon arrival check in to your hotel for a two night stay in this historic, walled city. Perhaps visit the famous Chester Zoo or wander around the city centre and visit the Chester Cathedral and see the well-preserved Roman walls, and the excavation site of its ancient Roman amphitheatre. B Day 10. Chester, Bristol This morning, after breakfast, check out of the hotel and make your way to the station for the journey to Bristol, in south west England, on the Avon River. Since Roman times the beautiful city of Bath has long been revered for the health-giving properties of its natural hot springs.
