Grand Canyon Railway Travel aboard vintage carriages hauled by historic locomotives on the Grand Canyon Railway to see the awe inspiring Grand Canyon. Hollywood, RMS Queen Mary This morning the Southwest Chief continues through Fullerton in Orange County and passes the sprawling suburbs of Los Angeles before reaching Union Station. Your first stop in Los Angeles is star-studded Hollywood. Enjoy free time here to explore the home of the USA's film industry, with the chance to walk in the stars' footsteps on the Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard and soak up the atmosphere. Later today, travel to Long Beach for one night on board the RMS Queen Mary. The ship, which is now a hotel, has a fascinating history as a luxury ocean liner and as a high-speed troop carrier during the Second World War. Enjoy its original 1930s artwork and Art Deco styling, with each stateroom offering a glimpse into ocean travel over the decades of the 1930s, 40s, and 50s. The Coast Starlight, Monterey Travel on board the iconic Coast Starlight for a daytime journey along the stunning Pacific coast shoreline. Upon reaching the Pacific Coast at Ventura, the Coast Starlight heads north, hugging the coastline and following the Pacific Coast Highway. Relax in the Sightseer Lounge car and enjoy spectacular views through floor-to- ceiling windows. See stretches of pristine beaches as the train hugs the coast north of Santa Barbara.
