42 Day 1. Arrive Vancouver Upon arrival, you'll be met and transferred to your hotel. Meet your Tour Director at a Welcome Reception this evening. Stay: Vancouver, Marriott Pinnacle Hotel. Day 2. Vancouver, VIA Rail Discover Vancouver's best-loved attractions on a sightseeing tour, including the Waterfront, Gastown, Granville Island and Stanley Park. Enjoy this afternoon at leisure to relax or explore the city further. Later this evening, board the VIA Rail for your overnight train journey to the Canadian Rockies. Stay: VIA Rail, Sleeper Touring Class. B Day 3. VIA Rail, Jasper Awake to stunning views as you travel into the Canadian Rockies, and enjoy access to the Park Car and its glass-domed observation deck. Arrive in Jasper National Park this afternoon. Stay: Jasper, Mountain Park Lodges. BL Day 4. Jasper, Icefields Parkway, Athabasca Glacier, Lake Louise Depart Jasper today and travel along the Icefields Parkway. You'll then stop at the Columbia Icefield for a ride onto Athabasca Glacier in an Ice Explorer. Later, travel to Canada's world-famous natural wonder Lake Louise. Stay: Lake Louise Inn. BD Day 5. Lake Louise, Banff See the turquoise waters of glacier-fed Moraine Lake (weather permitting) on your way to beautiful Banff National Park. This afternoon, explore Banff on a sightseeing tour, then ride the Banff Gondola for incredible views. Two Nights: Banff Park Lodge. B Day 6. Banff Enjoy today at your leisure to relax and explore the surrounds of Banff National Park. If you're after adventure, then consider joining a heli-flightseeing tour for aerial views of this breathtaking region. Quaaout Lodge, Whistler Travel through the vast landscapes of the Cariboo region today, before arriving in Whistler. This famous alpine resort-town has long been considered an adventure playground for outdoor enthusiasts, and there is plenty here for you to discover with a day at leisure to explore. Stay: Aava Whistler Hotel. B Day 9. Whistler, Vancouver This morning after breakfast, you have time at leisure to enjoy exploring Whistler. In Whistler, you may like to explore nearby forests by Tree Trek or Zip Trek or perhaps set off on a Blackcomb Glacier Jeep Safari. Alternatively, take a float trip down Bow River (see pages 95).
