Kimberley Ramsay Reid Leader of the CHEER! Three cheers for Kimberley Ramsay Reid, founder of the Southern Hemisphere's largest cheerleading school LEAVING A SUCCESSFUL LEGAL practice after five years, Kimberley Ramsay Reid sought a career with a bit more pep. With a history of dance and gymnastics her son's school asked if she'd be interested in teaching cheerleading classes at an after school programme. "I thought if I was going to do this, I'd do them on a real American style cheer team that incorporated stunts, pyramids, tumbling, cheers and chants – and All Star Cheerleaders was born! All Star Cheerleaders started its first junior cheerleading team with 11 students at Whenuapai School - that year they performed at their school gala and the "Starting a business is one thing but I was also starting a sport.
