INTRODUCTION
It is an obvious choice to want to celebrate being in a business that you have loved for 20 years. As I am so fond of saying when I speak, 'you can never be great at something that you don't love'
.
I also know that this milestone is difficult for a lot of operations to achieve; especially the creative industries where the marriage of a great idea/vision and business skill is relatively rare, and unfortunately I have witnessed a few causalities along the way.
This issue of Who's Who is about celebrating, along with myself, some of the other women who have got their dreams and visions to a 20 year plus milestone.
There are others but many of them have been covered in our previous issues. So for this special celebration issue of the magazine it was about endeavoring to expose some new content and share with you some great untold stories while also acknowledging those we all know so well.
It has been an honour to edit this magazine, to share the journeys of so many capable women. To marvel at their achievements, commiserate with their challenges, but most of all relish in the way that they are still all so in love with what they do.
My 20 years have been peppered with so many highlights but no regrets, as both success and failure have been my units of significant growth measurement along the way, and neither one more
so than the other.
As the reality of exit knocks on my door, I can never seem to take this too seriously. After all, there seems so many more mountains to conquer and with the recent development of our global strategy this has become an even more enthralling prospect for me.
So congratulations to all the women who have made 20 years and remain passionate about their operations. I, for one, know just how rewarding living a great life can be!
