62 Day 13. Darwin, Embark Cruise. Today the next exciting phase of your journey begins as you transfer to your expedition ship, the stylish MS Caledonian Sky, for what promises to be an epic journey. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner of freshly prepared ingredients on board this evening as you set sail. Ten Night Stay: MS Caledonian Sky. BD Day 14. At sea. Today you have the opportunity to become familiar with your expedition ship with a full day at sea. Relax in your comfortable and stylish suite or enjoy the many public areas available to you. You might like to soak up the passing views from the Sun Deck or maybe enjoy a drink and get to know your fellow passengers in the Panorama Lounge which features a bar and floor-to-ceiling windows. BLD Day 15. Koolama Bay, King George River and Falls. Wake up in Koolama Bay, a fascinating historic location which was named after a merchant ship bombed by the Japanese in World War II. Arriving at King George River, the highlight is sure to be King George Falls, the highest single drop falls in Western Australia which plunges approximately 80 metres over a magnificent sandstone cliff. BLD Day 16. Vansittart Bay, Jar Island. With your Expedition Team, walk across salt flats to view the wreckage of a US Air Force DC3 which crash landed on the beach during World War II. Later, visit Jar Island and discover the island's outstanding rock art gallery. See examples of the Kimberley's mysterious Bradshaw (Gwion Gwion) paintings, dating back some 20,000 years. BLD Day 17. Bigge Island. Off the coast of the Kimberley, approximately 6 kilometres from the mainland, Bigge Island is filled with fantastic wildlife viewing opportunities. The island is well known for its Indigenous Australian rock art, which was created by the Wunambal people. In caves throughout the island, you will be able to explore and discover paintings including fascinating examples of first contact art and Wandjina figures. BLD Day 18. Prince Frederick Harbour, Hunter River. Arrive at Prince Frederick Harbour, home to soaring red cliffs, green rainforest and mangroves. With its extreme tide system and pristine eco-system, there is an incredible range of wildlife to discover here including saltwater crocodiles, mudskippers and birds.
