Tour Historic Inwa by Horse-Drawn Cart Step aboard a horse-drawn cart to see the sights of Inwa, including the Maha Aung Mye Bon Zan Monastery and the teak-wood Bagaya Monastery, built in 1593. You'll also get up close to the 'Leaning Tower of Inwa' – a watch tower that was damaged by an earthquake in 1838. Mahamuni Buddha Temple, Mandalay One of the country's most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites, this inspiring temple is home to a bronze image of the Mahamuni Buddha. During your visit, perhaps enhance the statue's shimmer by adding a sheet of gold leaf to this beautiful 3.8 metre-high statue. Stroll U Bein Bridge Outside Mandalay Considered by many to be the world's oldest and longest teak-wood bridge, U Bein spans 1.2 kilometres across Taungthaman Lake. It is a supremely beautiful sight, particularly during the early evening when the sun sets and the many hundreds of teak pillars cast long shadows against the mirror-like waters. Myanmar Treasure Resort, Inle Lake Set right on the shores of Inle Lake, Myanmar Treasure Resort superbly blends elegant and comfortable accommodation and modern amenities with charming touches of traditional culture. Here, you'll stay in a bungalow that boasts its own private balcony looking out over the beautiful expanse of the lake. – www.travelmarvel.com.au –
