23 Western Wonder 6 Days | Hobart | Strahan | Cradle Mountain | Launceston Day 1. Arrive Hobart. Be met on arrival in Hobart and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of today at leisure. Stay: RACV/RACT Hobart Apartment Hotel. Day 2. Hobart, Lake St Clair, Strahan. Travel through the Derwent Valley to Mt Field National Park, where you'll take a short walk to see Russell Falls. Then, make your way into Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. Arrive in the village of Strahan and enjoy views across the harbour while you dine at View 42˚ Restaurant and Bar this evening. Stay: Strahan Village Hilltop. BD Day 3. Strahan, Gordon River Cruise, Cradle Mountain. Embark on a cruise along the Gordon River, with a local guide on hand to highlight the unique flora and fauna of the region. Wander through one of the world's oldest rainforests at Heritage Landing, visit Sarah Island, then cruise past Hells Gates. Enjoy lunch on board before returning to Strahan. This afternoon, make your way to Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. Special Stay – feel at one with nature at Cradle Mountain Hotel. Stay: Cradle Mountain Hotel. BLD Day 4. Cradle Mountain, Sheffield, Smithton. Today take tour of Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park and visit Waldheim Chalet. Stop on the shores of Dove Lake to admire the views of Cradle Mountain. Later, travel via Sheffield to Stanley and see The Nut, standing 143 metres above sea level. Continue to Smithton. Special Stay – relax at the charming Tall Timbers Hotel.
