Russell Falls, Cradle Mountain- Lake St Clair National Park, Strahan. Journey through the Derwent Valley and explore Russell Falls in Mt Field National Park. Then, travel into the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area to Lake St Clair. Continue to Strahan. Tonight, dine at View 42° Restaurant. APT HIGHLIGHT! Stay: Strahan Village, harbour view room. BD Day 3. Gordon River Cruise, Cradle Mountain. After breakfast, board the Lady Jane Franklin II for a cruise on the Gordon River. Glide through Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park, stopping at Heritage Landing for a rainforest walk. See Sarah Island then pass through Hells Gates on your return to Strahan. House of Anvers, Sheffield, Woolmers Estate, National Rose Garden, Launceston. Stop in Devonport before continuing to the House of Anvers chocolate factory. Here, enjoy a tour and tasting before visiting the Museum of Chocolate. Later, go for a guided walk around the historic Woolmers Estate. Wander through the museum and take a leisurely stroll through the impressive National Rose Garden, considered to be one of the finest collections of historic roses in the Southern Hemisphere. Stay: Launceston, Hotel Grand Chancellor. B Day 7. Ross, Launceston, Farewell Dinner. After breakfast, head for the historical township of Ross. Step back in time as you walk across the historic bridge and admire the town's antiquarian architecture.
