DAY 2: Buenos Aires Full-Day City Tour See the many faces of Argentina's capital, including landmarks such as the Obelisk, Plaza de Mayo, Plaza San Martin, Plaza Intendente Alvear, and notable neighborhoods. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Puerto Madero, and transfer back to your hotel. DAY 3: Paraná Delta Tour Take a scenic trip along the Tigre River and the numerous rivers and streams that make up the Paraná Delta, and witness riverside towns like the Olivos neighborhood, where the Presidential Residence is located. Pass through Martinez, La Lucila, Acassuso, and San Isidro before you are returned to your hotel. DAY 4: Buenos Aires/Puerto Madryn Hop aboard your transfer from your Buenos Aires hotel to the domestic airport and fly to Puerto Madryn. Check in at your choice of hotel and enjoy exploring this new destination in the Argentine Patagonia on your own. Whale and penguin watching are popular in this gateway to the Valdés Peninsula. DAY 5: Full-Day Wildlife Excursion Board one of several small boats on an exciting journey to see whales (between June and December), elephant seals, or possibly even dolphins (year-round)! The return trip back to the hotel takes you through Salinas, where you'll be asked to keep an eye out for native terrestrial animals. The evening is yours to do as you like. DAY 6: Full-Day Punta Tambo Tour View native bird species and their nests up close, and meet a colony of penguins during this tour. After these encounters, you'll be taken to the historical sites and landmarks of Trelew City, an important commercial town, before transferring back to your hotel for the night. DAY 7: Puerto Madryn/El Calafate A vehicle will take you to the airport to board your domestic flight to El Calafate, where another transfer will take you to your host hotel for the day. Settle in, or see if you can find the namesake plant with yellow flowers and dark blue berries in this park-adjacent city. DAY 8: Perito Moreno Glacier A hotel pick-up transports you to Perito Moreno National Park, where you can observe the Patagonian Andean forests as well as the majestic glacier that gives the park its name. Footbridges lead the way to unique views, and a day of exploration comes to an end with the evening at leisure. DAY 9: El Calafate/Buenos Aires Head back to the airport to return to Buenos Aires and the hotel of your choice, where you'll be able to revisit your favorite places on your own one last time. Take this opportunity to have dinner at one of the city's many cosmopolitan restaurants and try the beef this country is so famous for. DAY 10: Buenos Aires/Iguazú A transfer to the airport takes you to your flight to Iguazú, where you'll be met by the local ground operator and taken to your host hotel, just minutes from Brazil's border. DAY 11: Full-Day Tour of Iguazú Falls A driver will take you to the Argentinian side of Iguazú Falls, a series of 275 waterfalls that thunder down from an average of 230 feet. On the way to Estación Central, you'll take a train to Estación Cataratas and/or Estación Garganta del Diablo, two highlights of this journey through the falls, before going back to your hotel. DAY 12: DEPARTURE Transfer to the airport, where you'll board a flight back home, connecting in Buenos Aires for the international leg of your travel.
