Sheila magazine loves new local talent and this year we will sponsor the development of special collections from four outstanding design graduates. Each will create a mini-collection to be featured in a coming edition. We chatted with each of the winners of the grant to find out what else they'll be doing in 2012.

What are your plans for this year? I have been running a small handmade accessories label called Truso for about eight years, and now I have completed my studies I plan to put a lot more energy back into its ongoing development. I would also like to develop a clothing line that, like my accessories, has an environmentally- conscious attitude towards production and materials I use.
What are you working on at the moment? I work a lot with locally-sourced natural fibres, like linen, silk and wool. Last year, my work had quite a structured feel to it with an element of printed textural information. I would like to push my next collection to incorporate that formal method with an exploration of more draping. www.facebook.com/ trusohandmade

How would you describe your aesthetic? Key words to describe my design aesthetic would include: intellectual, strong and smart.
