50 Day 1. Arrive Adelaide. Arrive in Adelaide and be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner this evening. Stay: Adelaide, The Playford Hotel. D Day 2. Adelaide, Wilpena Pound. Drive through the Barossa Valley and venture into Flinders Ranges National Park and follow in the footsteps of Douglas Mawson as you discover the geological site of Wilpena Pound. Enjoy dinner at your safari camp later this evening. Stay: Wilpena Pound, Ikara Safari Camp. BLD Day 3. Wilpena Pound, Kati Thanda- Lake Eyre, Marree. Depart Wilpena Pound after breakfast this morning towards Marree. Take a 4WD tour to the edge of Lake Eyre, where you'll walk on the dazzling salt flats of Australia's largest inland lake. Afterwards, arrive at Marree and board an included scenic flight over Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre. Later, arrive enjoy a stay at your historic hotel, whose origins date back to 1883. Stay: Marree Hotel. BLD Day 4. Marree, Birdsville Track. Travel along the iconic Birdsville Track, an isolated dirt road that traverses some of the most arid land in the country. Stop at Mungerannie Roadhouse, then cross the border into Queensland and arrive at the legendary Birdsville Hotel. Two Night Stay: Birdsville Hotel. BLD Day 5. Birdsville, Big Red. Enjoy the morning at leisure to explore the town of Birdsville at your own pace. Later, travel to the Big Red, the first and biggest of the region's red sand dunes that run for hundreds of kilometres. Later, enjoy a visit to the famous racetrack and the billabong. BLD Day 6. Birdsville, Betoota Serpent, Burke and Wills Dig Tree, Innamincka. Travel to Betoota in the west corner of Queensland to see the enormous sculpture of an Indigenous Dreamtime serpent. After, visit the Burke and Wills Dig Tree, the location where their campsite once stood. Continue to the Innamincka Hotel, a welcoming watering hole for travellers. Stay: Innamincka Hotel.
